I'm searching for myself. Have you seen me?

Did you know that Gilkison is the 22259th most common surname in the United States (according to the U.S. Census Bureau's 1990 name files)? And that Corson is the 6770th most common? Presumably, one of those two names is what led you here (although we won't turn away others!). According to the same census data, the Gilkison name is found most often in Kentucky and Oregon.
I have been interested in genealogy since about 1991, around the time my father passed away, and I've been working on it ever since (funny how events like that always spur you to these pursuits)... However, if it seems like it's been a while since the files have been updated, it's because I work on this information in surges; I'll work rather intensely for a couple of weeks, trying to dig up more info, then I might go a month or two (or three, etc.) without doing anything at all.
Everything you see in these pages is all the information I have at the moment. The names are indexed a couple of ways -- if you want to see all of the names in my family, try the Index of SURNAMES, or try browsing through all of the individuals in the PERSONS index. I use Family Tree Maker to maintain my family records; to get the pages you see here, I export its file to the GEDCOM format, then convert that file into HTML using the shareware program GED2HTML.
